Looking to buy vinyl records for your own collection? Record fairs are a fantastic experience for browsing music, while meeting other record fanatics, DJs, and sellers, who can often recommend the perfect record you've never heard of, but will surely love. Funk Bros DJs have steadily built our collection over the years by visiting quality record fairs such as Music Palooza, Semaphore Record Fair, and Prospect Record Fair. We had the idea earlier last year to curate our own boutique record fair, featuring our DJ peers and friends, and thus, Digs at Bigs was born.

Promoting quality over quantity, local vinyl DJs sold carefully curated selections from their extensive collections. Spanning the funk, soul, disco, boogie, jazz, and hip hop genres, one crate from each seller provided high quality sounds for the public's digging pleasure. Volume 1 of Digs featured mainstays of the Adelaide scene including Fresh 92.7 General Manager Troy J Been, Anth Wendt (Oisima), Nick Gencarelli (Disco Is Not A Dirty Word), will join boutique sellers such as Paradise Loft, Ocky from Sons Of Fuzz, Delta, Pero, Nick Dagga and the internationally sought DJ Penfold, who can claim Award Winning DJ Z-Trip and Maseo from De La Soul as previous buyers.

We were also fortunate to have Mismatch Brewing jump on board, sponsoring the event with drink specials, while the legends from Slow Moe's served southern-style comfort food out front.

Shout-outs to co-organiser and legendary collector Ocky Plant, PR guru Ryan Winter, our generous hosts Biggies at Bertram (RIP), and Anthony Puliatti for poster designs.
